SambaFunk! reps @ San Jose Jazz Festival – On friday afternoon a band of SambaFunk! carnavalescos departed from the West Oakalnd BART station enroute to the San Jose Jazz Festival to experience the concert of music legend George Clinton and Parliment Funkadelic. George Clinton, the creator of over 15 top 10 singles, 6 #1 R&B hits including Flashlight, AquaBoogie, and Atomic Dog and member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame was coming to the Bay Area to spread the Funk around.
Funkquarians road trip 8/13/10
It was smooth sailing to SanJose. No traffic, the 880 south was good to go. The Funkquarians had landed and now it was time to set up home base……As the crowd slowly built the anticipation for the Funk grew. There was a solid opening band, but we were all positioned for the Funk!
The Funkquarian highlight came when George Clinton and the band returned for an Encore performance of AtomicDog. By now, the Funkquarians had made their way backstage to get closer to the FUNK!
Sir Nose gave the sign and beckoned for the Funkquarians to dance on stage from stage left….. The Funkquarians led a party line of Funky individuals and in true SambaFunk! “Carnaval Explosion” fashion the stage blew up with fun & positive energy.
Afterward, lead Funkquarian King Theo communed w/ FunkMaster Clinton, Sir Nose & various band members & greeted them in the name of the FUNK!!!!!!!

Great flick! The was taken during SF Carnaval with Sambaxe….. The trip to San Jose was crazy LIVE….. The Funkquarians got the opportunity to met George Clinton and SambaFunk! was in full effect centerstage…..whuuuhuuuu!

What would it take for You All to come to the Desert area for a Weekend and than going on to Childhelp Village in Beaumont, where 84 children are taken care of with TLC! I’ve been associated with Childhelp for the past 30 years. Their headquarters is now located in Scottsdale, AZ. They have anoter Village in VA, with Chapter throughout the USA. Cheryl & I think these “Abused Children would GREATLY benefit by Learning how to SamaFunk, for Mind, Body & Soul.
